Teleportation

Does anyone else have a cat that teleports? I saw a post on Facebook about this about six months ago, and several people answered the post and said their cats teleported too. I was relieved to know that my cat Chloe is not unique in this ability, and that other cat owners have also witnessed it. She first teleported inadvertently and was totally shocked by the experience (I have written about this in my second book), but has subsequently done it again several times, including right in front of my eyes last summer. We were sitting in the garden together – the garden is her place in the summer, and she likes nothing better than to be out there with me. I was sitting on the step drinking a cup of herb tea, and she was three feet away sniffing the grow bags. Then she wasn’t! It was as sudden and unexpected as that. I got up, calling her, and worrying slightly as I am always concerned that she’ll teleport somewhere she can’t get back from and where I can’t find her! I walked down the garden to discover her by the workshop door. She could not have physically traversed the distance in that second – she definitely teleported, right in front of me. It was quite unnerving, but I have learned not to be surprised by anything this cat does. Thankfully, my older cat Cricket is a rather more ordinary cat and doesn’t have these strange powers.

Teleportation is an interesting subject, and a fascinating phenomenon. I read recently of an island, in Scotland I think, where there is a small community of monks who live and work there, and look after the chapel which is open to the visitors who arrive by boat. They walk up the hill to the monastery and are met by the monks who look after it and live there. One little group was making its way back down the hill to the Chapel, and they were amazed to find the same monk who had greeted them at the top, already there at the door of the chapel awaiting their arrival! He had not walked with them, and there was only one direct route. How had he got there before them? The answer is teleportation, and being open-minded they realised this, and fully realised the fact that the monk had reached such a high state of spiritual attainment whereby he was able to teleport at will. This type of apparently miraculous power is known as a Siddhi in the eastern spiritual traditions.

So this incident, and I am sure there are others documented, serves to show that people are also able to teleport, if they are tuned in sufficiently on a subtle energy level. My Chloe also seems to have this ability although I don’t think her energy vibration is anywhere near as high as the monk’s! So I can’t put forward an explanation for her. It’s a mystery. I can however, hypothesise a possible explanation for the phenomenon in general. Matter is not solid anyway, and everything, absolutely everything, is made up of vibrating energy, just at different frequencies. So why cannot all the atoms, molecules, space etc that make up a human being or a cat, vibrate in sync to a different place instantly when triggered by a will to do so? I am sure there are quantum physicists who would have a perfectly clear way of explaining exactly what must happen on these occasions. In the meantime, I keep a close eye on Chloe and her occasional teleporting adventures, and hope that she manages to confine her activities to the immediate area!
